I am a native of Idaho and recently moved here to be with my new husband. We are so excited to live in Ogden near the great trails, two golf courses, and so close to wonderful ski resorts. We also spend far too much time watching football together. We love the Boise State Broncos and the Dallas Cowboys! I am the fourth child, from an active family of five and really look forward to having children of my own.

I loved college at the small, liberal arts school I attended, Albertson College of Idaho. I was very active on campus and participated in everything from student senate to working as a vice president in my sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. I graduated with honors in 2006 with Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Education. Surprisingly, college changed my life most because it was where I met and really got to know my husband.

After I graduated, I completed a full time, year internship in a sixth grade classroom in Middleton, Idaho. While teaching, I worked to earn my Master’s Degree in Teaching and finished in the summer of 2007. I enjoyed myself immensely working as a sixth grade teacher the year following my internship, as well.

I am still fresh to the teaching profession and learn something new each day. One thing I have learned is that working with and teaching children, although sometimes difficult, is a true honor. They have minds capable of changing the world some day, if we merely introduce them to the knowledge they need.
