USOE Certified Teacher – Highly Qualified |
Hello everyone! I am Mr. Alarcon but in Spain, I am known as Don Antonio. I grew up in Ceuta, a Spanish province located near Cadiz. My father is a Major in the Spanish Army, and my parents have been sweethearts since they were 12 years old—they have been the best role model a son could have! I also have a younger brother who is a university student. |
In 2004 I received my degree in Education at the University of Granada, Spain, one of the oldest universities in my country. I also have a certification in Physical Education as well as the highest certification in Europe to coach basketball. I have been playing or coaching basketball since I was 12 years old. |
Although this is my first year teaching in the United States, I taught for 4 years in Spain. |
In my free time I love to play sports, travel (I lived in Cork, Ireland and Berlin, Germany), and spend time with my wife, Beatriz. In the future I hope to improve my English as well as learn German. I love the experience of working with the students, their parents and the faculty at NDPA. It is my sincere desire that my students will enjoy learning as much from me, as I enjoy learning from them. |
