I was born and raised in Mexico. I graduated in 1993 with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught three years in a bilingual (Spanish-English) elementary school in Mexico. I came to the United States in 2000 in a teacher exchange program with the L.A school district. I was only supposed to stay for a year, but met my husband and stayed. I taught first grade in California for a year and preschool for four and a half years.

My extended family lives in Mexico. I have brother six years younger than me. This past fall, I was thrilled to become a US citizen. My husband and I have two young daughters and we hope to make Layton our permanent home.

I enjoy learning and hope to start my Masters degree as soon as possible. I like teaching at NDPA they are a wonderful and caring team that I am glad to be part of.
