I am a Utah native and I recently moved from my little, rural town of Monroe, Utah back to the big city. I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Speech Communications/ Public Relations and later obtained my teaching license.

I have had the opportunity to experience many fields of employment. I worked in property management for most of my career, traveling to and from many states. I have owned a deli and a painting company but by far the most exciting job has been being a mom. When my 13 year old son was born I quit all my jobs to stay home and “work”. Over the past eight years I have worked in various positions at the schools that my children have attended. It was during this time that I decided to get my teaching license. I have taught for 5 years in a variety of classroom settings including a period of time in a school that had 42 students K-6 grade. I am in love with teaching 6th grade and am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach at NDPA. I love the atmosphere of diversity and genuine learning. I must also confess that I am excited to learn some Spanish myself.

I married the love of my life and we have 5 children ages 25-9. I am also the proud Grandma of a charming little boy. When I am not at school I still get to play the taxi cab tango and drive my younger children to ball games, track meets and music lessons. If I have any spare time left I love to read, garden and this year my goal is to climb the rock wall.
