I graduated from Hillsdale College and then Brigham Young University with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Comparative Literature. This means that I spent a lot of time reading deep, dark and depressing books by dead authors and I loved it! These days I find a lot of my reading time is spent on equally enjoyable classics like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Harold and the Purple Crayon.

I currently teach at Salt Lake Community College and I sort of specialize in teaching online classes, which has been great because it has meant that I can be home with my children a lot and when I teach I can do a lot of it in my pajamas. However, with four energetic kids, two of whom attend NDPA , I feel like organizing chaos is my full time job. NDPA is my second charter school experience and I am excited about having my children learn Spanish.
