POET FALL CELEBRATION @ BLACK ISLAND FARMS - Thursday, October 11, 4:30-10:00 PM. Come support our school, hang out with other NDPA families, and have some Fall Celebration fun!
SPIRIT SHIRTS - Now available for sale, NDPA Spirit Shirts for $6! These shirts can be worn on Fridays in lieu of a regular uniform shirt. Child and adult sizes available only at the elementary. Shirts will be available in the elementary during Parent Teacher Conferences.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES - Students will have early out (like Friday schedule) Monday, October 15-Wednesday, October 17 for Parent Teacher Conferences.
- Kindergarten will be by appointment only, all 3 days, see your teacher for more information.
-Monday, October 15 will be open house format between 1:30-7:00 PM. - - 1st-6th grades, students will show you what they've been doing in class and teachers will be available for questions. - - 7th-9th graders, meet anytime in the jr. high gym, teachers will be available in the gym if you have questions.
-Tuesday, October 16 and Wednesday, October 17 will be by appointment only, please contact the teacher directly to schedule an appointment to meet with them individually.

NDPA JOB OPENINGS
Recess Attendant (Elementary) Closing date: Open until filled Part Time: Approximately 25-29 hours per week Applicant will supervise students and maintain a cooperative atmosphere during recess. Assist in organizing various play activities and games; participate in games to encourage students to take an active part. Establish and maintain a safe environment during recess. Applicants will have high school diploma, complete a LiveScan Fingerprint and Electronic Background Check in accordance with Utah State Law. Teacher Assistant/Recess (Middle/Jr. High School) Closing Date: Open until Filled Part Time: Approximately 25-29 hours per week Applicants will have the equivalent of 48 semester hours of education at an institution of higher education; an associate's degree; OR the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test. Applicant will complete a LiveScan Fingerprint and Electronic Background Check in accordance with Utah State Law. Applicant will assist in a variety of forms, such as, but not limited to: working with small groups of students who need extra support, preparing class materials, correct and recording assignments, morning, lunch and afternoon recesses, assist in carpool pick up and drop off and a wide variety of other services. Behavior Aide Closing Date: Open until filled Part Time: Approximately 25-29 hours per week Working with elementary-age children who need extra support one-on-one or in small groups including, but not limited to: student breaks in a sensory room, in the lunchroom and outside at recess. Must be comfortable interacting and playing with students, including getting down on the floor, hanging up swing equipment, moving mini trampolines and playing with children on the playground. Will work with and under the guidance of the school’s behavior assistant, occupational therapist and special education staff. 1st Grade Teacher Closing Date: Open until filled Full Time: 40 Hours per week - Start November 2018 Qualified applicants will have a valid Utah Elementary education teaching license (k-6) or Early childhood Education (K-3) or are working towards obtaining licensure through the State Board of Education. Candidates who hold certifications or endorsements to teach multiple subjects are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Kitchen Assistant Closing Date: Open until filled Part Time: 3 days per week (10:30am – 1:30PM or 11:00AM – 2:00PM depending on school site) Work with and under the guidance of the Director of Nutrition. Applicant will be part of the team that nourishes students' bodies and minds, and helps them be ready to learn in the classroom. Applicants will have a valid Food Handlers permit or are working towards obtaining and will complete a LiveScan Fingerprint and Electronic Background Check in accordance with Utah State Law.
