ART PROJECT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Hi parents, we are gathering art project volunteers for this year's annual FUNdraising auction. We've had a number of parents already volunteer but we are need a few more. We are seeking help with 2nd, 5th, and 6th grades. Once the projects are picked, we may need to recruit a few more to assist with the creation. This is a great way to earn volunteer hours, many of which will be from home. LEO NIGHT JANUARY 11 - NDPA’s next LEO Night is Friday,January 11, 2019, at Chuck E. Cheese's in Layton. This LEO Night is for all students (Elementary & Jr. High) as well as their families, friends, and neighbors. So come on over for a fun, cheesy time! Look for valuable coupons and a flyer to come home with your student the week of January 7.

NDPA JOB OPENINGS

KITCHEN ASSISTANT
Closing Date: Open until filled
Part Time: Approximately 12-15 hours per week (10:30am – 1:30PM or 11:00AM – 2:00PM depending on school site)
The Kitchen Assistant will assist in the preparation of the school lunches and maintaining the health and safety of the kitchen environment.
Applicants will have a valid Food Handlers permit or are working towards obtaining; and will complete a LiveScan Fingerprint and Electronic Background Check in accordance with Utah State Law. TEACHER ASSISTANT/RECESS (Middle/Jr. High Building)
Closing Date: Open until Filled
Part Time: Approximately 25-29 hours per week
Rate: $11.00/hour (Review after 90 days)
Applicants will have the equivalent of 48 semester hours of education at an institution of higher education; an associate's degree; OR the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test. Applicant will complete a LiveScan Fingerprint and Electronic Background Check in accordance with Utah State Law. Applicant will assist in a variety of forms, such as, but not limited to: working with small groups of students who need extra support, preparing class materials, correct and recording assignments, morning, lunch and afternoon recesses, assist in carpool pick up and drop off and a wide variety of other services.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
Closing Date: Open until filled
Part Time: Not to exceed 29 hours per week.
Substitute Teachers are put on a call list and must be available to work with short notice.
Substitute Teachers are paid an hourly rate, based on education level.

CONGRATULATIONS TO RHONDA ADAMS - Winner of a 2019 fellowship from Northrup Grumman! Ms. Adams was one of only 28 in the United States & Australia to be awarded this fellowship.
