LEO NIGHT AT ZUPAS, APRIL 16 - Be sure to join us between 5:00-9:00 PM at Cafe Zupas in Layton for a fun night out with family and friends!

VOTE FOR NDPA'S FAVORITE TEACHER - Each year, the Ogden Standard Examiner, awards a few teachers the "Apple for the Teacher” award. They select winners depending on votes. This year, ANGELA ELLSWORTH, our new kindergarten teacher, received so many nominations that she is in the running for the top prize. If she receives enough “votes” she could win! This is where we need your help. Go to the website and vote for Ms. Angela each day - pass it along or share with as many as your friends and family as you can. This is a great way to recognize the hard work ALL our teachers put into teaching!

BE SURE TO GET YOUR TICKETS! The NDPA FUNdraising Auction is our main fundraiser each school year. No cookie dough, coupon books, chocolate bar sales, etc, etc. Each year, money that is raised at the Auction goes towards needed items for our school. Join us on Friday, April 26, 6:00 PM at the Davis Conference Center in Layton. $25 per ticket gets you a lovely dinner and entrance to the greatest FUNdraising event ever! Buy tickets or donate money if you can't come to the event here:

7TH-9TH SKATE PARTY – Skate Party! Friday, April 26, 1:30-3:00 PM, junior high students are going to head over to Classic Fun Center and do some skating. Please make an arrangement for your student to get over there (there should be lots of cars headed that direction) and also an arrangement to pick your kids up promptly at 3:00 — we’d like our chaperones to be able to get ready for FUNdraising Auction that night.

AFTER-SCHOOL KARATE - The focus of these classes will be self-discipline, self-esteem, confidence, focus, respect and concentration.

Dates: Tuesday, April 30; Thursday, May 2nd; Tuesday, May 7th; Thursday, May 9th
Time: 3:00-4:00 PM
Place: Elementary Gymnasium
Open to all students in Grades 1-6
Cost $25; cash or check payable to “NDPA POET” – Place payment in POET box.
All proceeds from this after school activity will be donated to NDPA.

FIELD DAY, MAY 20 - Mark your calendars now to come volunteer for NDPA Field Day on Monday, May 20. We need lots of volunteers in both the Elementary and Jr. High to make this end-of-school event a blast for our NDPA Lions!

BE A CLASS CAPTAIN - If you are interested in being a Class Captain for the 2019-2020 school year we are using signup this year to help generate a list of those interested. The list will be used when classes are put together for the new school year. Each grade is capped at 5 sign ups. You will be notified prior to back to school night if you have received a Class Captain spot.

Being a class captain is a great way to get in your 30 volunteer hours! If you have any questions please contact Shanae at - Sign up at

_LIBRARY BOOKS _- All library books for both buildings are due before Friday, May 3, 2019.
