  • Registration and check-in begin at 9:30 AM at Fort Buenaventura, 2450 A Avenue, Ogden. Come and “Todo lo intentare” – “Try everything” with us!

If you don’t plan to jump, come anyway to hang out, drink hot cocoa, and root for our jumpers!

JUMP INTO JR. HIGH, THURSDAY, JANUARY 25 – All 6th grade students are invited to join us on Thursday, January 25, at 7:00 PM to get information about 7th grade classes, clubs, and activities, and walk through the Jr. High.

SCIENCE FAIR VOLUNTEERS WANTED – Science Fair is in 11 days and we still need volunteers! It’s coming up Wednesday, January 31 – to sign up, go to – you will still need to log your hours through the Raptor system. Please email Katherine if you have questions,

REAL-LIFE PARENTING CLASSES – Taught by former NDPA behavior specialist, Shaunna Reynolds. NDPA and POET are sponsoring this 6 week course, and offering it to the community, at a greatly reduced price. Please take advantage of this amazing opportunity and invite your friends and neighbors! Topics include: developing a strong parenting foundation, preschool through teen development, facilitating self-correction, electronic/internet boundaries, and a variety of parenting methods.

K-6 SPRING CHOIR – Choir begins February 6, 3:00-4:00 PM in the elementary gym. Our theme for spring is “Over the Rainbow.”

  • Dates: Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27, March 6, 13, and 20.
  • School performance Monday March 26 at 6:30 PM. Second performance to be announced.
  • Parent help needed for choir practices. If interested please come with your student.

GET THOSE VOLUNTEER HOURS LOGGED – NDPA Families, have you submitted your Volunteer Application in our new Raptor system? This is a crucial step to complete for all families attending North Davis Preparatory Academy. Once you enter and submit your Volunteer Application, you will have access to your own portal to log hours for all the volunteers in your family. You will also be able back log those VOLUNTEER HOURS you have been keeping track of since the beginning of the school year. This is a VERY important step to complete as we need a total count of all family volunteer hours for many reasons, including: immersion applications, Spain Study Abroad, and the Volunteer Appreciation Party in June.

¡El voluntariado es amor en acción y estamos seguros de que apreciamos el tiempo que pasas haciéndolo! (Volunteering is love in action and we sure appreciate the time you spend doing so!)

Please email Tierra, the Volunteer Coordinator at, for questions or issues

ART AUCTION – SAVE THE DATE – APRIL 20, 2018 – for POET’s 13th Annual Art Auction held at the Davis Conference Center!

POET has chosen to make this event our largest fundraiser so our students don’t have to sell cookie dough, pizza, Wasatch Cards, or various other items door-to-door. This year we are raising money to purchase a security camera system for our buildings. Mark your calendars now and spread the word to your family, neighbors, and friends!

If you own a business or have a community group (book club, parenting group, etc), consider inviting them for a fun night out!

If you haven’t attended the art auction or are new to our school, check out this video to learn more:
