APPLE CRUNCH IN THE LION'S CAFE - Every Wednesday this year, in the Lion’s Café, we have been providing foods for students to try, that may be new to them. We are excited about APPLE CRUNCH this Wednesday! We will have locally grown apples, with several varieties to try, some sweet, and some tart.

What is “Apple Crunch?” Each October schools, preschools, workplaces, and individuals across Utah celebrate National Farm to School Month by crunching into Utah-grown apples. The Apple Crunch is a way to get excited about delicious local produce, help students understand where their food comes from, and support local farmers. Across the state, students taste-test different apple varieties. Click here more information:

When you buy local you support families here in Utah which benefits us by keeping farms strong, and money spent here in Utah. At NDPA, we have had many of the “try it” days feature local foods. We hope your students are willing to try these foods, so they can experience new things, try something they may have before but didn't like, or taste a favorite food and influence others to try it.

Thank you for letting us "fuel the body," so the teachers can "feed the minds" of your children.
