What is Barnes & Noble day? It’s a day where NDPA families and friends come to Barnes & Noble in Layton, to have some fun, hear the choir sing, and purchase gifts for the holidays! If items are purchased using the NDPA code, a percentage is donated back to NDPA, to purchase books for the school.

Can’t make it to the event? Have a wealthy relative who would purchase tons, but lives out of state? You can still participate - shop online at BN.COM/bookfairs, with the code: 12555215, November 23-28!

6th GRADE "STORIES OF THE ANCIENT GODS" - In the sixth grade, we have combined our World History study and Language Arts units together with the study of mythology. The study of mythology can teach us about people around the world, their cultures and what is (or was) important to them. Specifically, Greek mythology has had a profound influence on the culture, arts and literature of Western civilization, with Greek myths remaining the source for much of Western fiction, poetry, film, and visual art. References to ancient myths are everywhere, from science to pop culture, and knowing about them will help us understand more about the world we live in. Not only have we studied Greek mythology, but we have also looked at the prominent influence Greek architecture has had on the Western world. Come celebrate our learning at our 6th grade program “Stories of the Ancient Gods,” Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Afternoon assembly @ 2:00 PM and evening performance 6:30-7:30 PM.
