JUNIOR HIGH PEP ASSEMBLY
Come join us for our second pep assembly of the year! On Thursday September 8, from 2:39-3:10, we'll be introducing our 2022-23 fall soccer and volleyball teams. Cheer will be performing, too. Our new student government class will be running the event. If you prefer your student to wear a mask or not attend, please establish that with them before the event (and maybe enlist the support of their adviser, as desired).

ROAR WEEK!!
R.O.A.R Week!! Sept. 12th-16th, 2022
**Students can wear Jeans with a school polo shirt or a school spirit shirt all week long!
The students will get to have different activities during their lunch recesses! Yay!

FALL FIESTA INFO

FALL FIESTA! Friday, Sept. 16th from 5-9 PM. This event is free to attend! A night of fun, food, and entertainment. This year we will have many more food trucks, extra bouncy toys, a live band, vendor booths, raffle prizes and many more upgrades!

VOLUNTEER HOURS TRACKING
Because of new legislation that was passed recently, we've had to change the way that volunteer hours are tracked and used. We will only be tracking volunteer opportunities that go through the SignupGenius site/app, and will not be using the Help Counter app going forward. Unfortunately we currently do not yet have a way to track hours outside of SignupGenius for volunteer opportunities such as helping teachers. Volunteer hours will be recorded as a total number per family and not designated to individuals.

Deadline to order hoodies is Monday September 12th! AFTER SCHOOL STEM INFO
Are you ready for STEM? We sure are! All new classes for Fall 2022, including making a game, earthquakes, and much more! Class breakouts are K-1st, 2nd-3rd, and 4th-6th and are limited to 24 students per grade level. Links to sign your child up will be open NEXT WEEK Thursday September 15th, and will be posted in next week's Que Pasa. If the link does not work, it means that class is FULL! Price per student is $45, for 6 weeks on Wednesdays after school. Time is 3pm - 4pm. Volunteers are needed each week, so please contact Mrs. Gibson for those opportunities. We are excited to show you all the cool things!

AFTER SCHOOL CHOIR
Get those singing voices ready!! After school choir is starting up later this month! Grades K - 6th meeting on Mondays: 9/26, 10/3, 10/17, 10/24, 12/19 from 3pm - 4pm.

BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
Tuesday, September 20th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM in the jr. high gym.
6th through 9th grade.

Practices will start on Sept 21st in the elementary gym from 4:15 - 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, from 1:30 - 3:00, also in the elementary gym.

If you are currently on a fall sports team, please come to tryouts. Practices will be optional for those athletes until October 17th.

PICTURE DAY FOR STUDENTS

Picture Day is coming up next week on September 14th! Students MUST wear approved uniform dress for pictures to be taken.

NDPA GAMES CLUB!! & MATH TUTORING
We are going to be doing a Games Club this year for students 6th-9th grade. The club will be run by Mr. Cameron Pingree with the help of Mr. Gypp and Mr. McLean. We will be holding meetings on Fridays starting Sept 9 from 1:20pm to 4pm. We will be playing table top games, for example: Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, and other table top board games. Anyone wanting to join can either go to any of the 3 teachers listed above, or go to the school website and print out a permission slip. The permission slip can then be returned to any of those before mentioned teachers. The club is free for anyone wanting to enter.

Math tutoring available for all Jr. High students. This will be from 3:15pm to 4:00pm on Mondays through Thursdays. As with last year, Mondays will be for 7th grade, Tuesday for 8th, Wednesday for 9th, and Thursday for everyone 7-9. This program will be run by Mr. Cameron Pingree and we will work on any classwork the students need extra help with as well as studying for tests and working to build their knowledge of math in a smaller setting.

WATERFORD UPSTART INFO
