POET SPIRIT SHIRTS & HOODIES

It’s time! Spirit Shirts & NDPA Hoodies are available for purchase. The final day to order shirts is September 1st. The final day to order hoodies is September 22nd.

Ordering is a TWO-STEP process! Be sure to read through this section to ensure you’ll receive your Spirit attire!
1 Fill out the Google form for the item you want.
2: Pay POET via VENMO. You must note what your payment is for (ie put “Spirit Shirt” or “NDPA Hoodie” in the notes). If you don't have Venmo, cash/check can be put in the POET lockboxes found in each NDPA building. Credit card payments will be accepted August 18 from 1-2 PM at the Elementary building.

Picture day is coming up on September 13!

FALL FIESTA

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us at Fall Fiesta on September 22nd from 5-8 PM at NDPA. Events will be at both buildings. We will have various entertainment, including children's games, food trucks and vendors. Everyone is welcome! Bring your neighbors!

GAMES CLUB

Games Club will have its first club session on September 1st and will run until May 17th. It will be every Friday when school is in session except on the Fridays that have a school dance scheduled the same day.

Games Club is for 6th-9th graders only and will run from 1:20 pm - 3:30 pm. Please plan to be here by 3:30 pm to pick up your student(s).

A club fee of $10 will need to be turned in to the Jr. High front office before the student’s first session or on September 1st. Any session after that they will be informed that they still owe the club fee and will need to bring that to the office before they will be allowed to attend.

MATH TUTORING

Math Tutoring will be run by Mr. Cameron and will be M-Th from 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm when school is in session. Please plan to be here by 4:00 pm to pick up your student(s).

During tutoring we will be working on homework, covering information that may need extra attention, and studying for upcoming tests.

Tutoring is separated by grade level and follows this schedule:

Mondays= 7th grade, Tuesdays= 8th grade, Wednesdays= 9th grade, Thursdays= 7th-9th grades

KARATE

After school Karate starts on September 6th. Sign up today for 6 weeks of karate class. Tuition is $35 for 6 weeks and a graduation celebration.

WHAT IS SCIP?

Are you aware that we have a school improvement plan? We do and we often refer to our plan as S.C.I.P. or SCIP* which stands for School Continuous Improvement Plan. Our SCIP * consists of three overarching goals which we are on track to accomplish by 2027.

1. NDPA will implement an annual, systemic, and systematic continuous improvement plan that supports student learning, teacher growth, and operational sustainability.

2. NDPA will formalize and document what we do and how we do it to ensure long term sustainability.

3. NDPA will implement a cohesive curriculum selection and review process for all academic areas including a rubric to measure alignment to standards and best practices.

You may notice that none of our goals directly mention students. These goals are large umbrella goals that will directly impact all students, families, and the employees of NDPA. Each month we will highlight a section of our SCIP* and share with you how these goals are improving your student’s overall experience at NDPA.

LUNCH INFORMATION

You can check your students account balance in ASPIRE

It is important that your students' lunch account not be in the negative to assure service.

Please note you can send check or cash to the school. The payment maybe put into an envelope with the student's name, ID # and amount ,and placed in the locked mailbox in the office. You may also give it to the Lunch staff at check in time.

The school also offers an online payment system. Please note if you use this system and use a credit card there is a fee. It also can take up to 8 business days to process into ASPIRE

Applications for free and reduced Lunch are available online. You can fill them out now. Also, throughout the year if your circumstances change.

Meal Pricing is available on our website.
