Leadership High Scores and a Few Recommendations
Under our “Leadership Capacity” domain we demonstrate noteworthy practices that produce clear results that result in positively impacting our school in several areas. We are committed to
our purpose statement and school mission and all those involved with the school support our threefold mission. Our administration has established and ensures adherence to policies that are designed to support NDPA’s effectiveness, and they adhere to a code of ethics and functions within defined roles and responsibilities. Our school leaders have also implemented operational processes and procedures to ensure effectiveness in support of teaching and learning. In our one-on-one interviews with Cognia (the company hired for this audit) they said that they rarely see a school so committed to its vision and purpose. What a compliment to all of us!
We did receive one score lower than the rest in the area of “school continuous improvement plan” because we have not formalized many of the things that we do at NDPA. Hence, this has become our main goal for the next five years and two of our three “umbrella” goals fit in this area.
NDPA will implement an annual, systemic, and systematic continuous improvement plan that supports student learning, teacher growth, and operational sustainability.
NDPA will formalize and document what we do and how we do it to ensure long term sustainability.
We’re proud of the work we’ve done, and we look forward to sharing with you how we are accomplishing this goal in the January SCIP Corner.
