Our Curriculum

In addition to our Spanish Immersion Program, our curriculum features the following:

Utah State Core Curriculum K-9

As a public charter school in the state of Utah, North Davis Preparatory Academy (NDPA) teaches all subjects required of the state core curriculum. All elementary students in grades K-6 are required to have language arts, math, science, social studies, art, and physical education. Students in the Jr. High take the same required classes plus elective classes. All NDPA students take Spanish classes.

NDPA students participate in all state testing; our test results are posted on the Utah State Board of Education website.

Gifted Students

Most of our gifted students in the elementary school enroll in the Immersion program. English-speaking teachers also provide extension activities for students who need to be challenged.

The Jr. High curriculum offers some advanced classes, Honor’s Credit is available in every subject area.

Students with Special Needs

NDPA provides Special Education consistent with state and federal regulations.

Students with disabilities, who do not qualify for Special Education, may qualify for accommodations provided by a 504 Plan.

Title I services are also provided in the areas of reading and math to students with low achievement.
