Announcement for 2024-2025 Open Enrollment

We will open our lottery for the next school year on December 1st. Returning families registration packets need to be completed by December 20th. We will pull to fill any openings on January 4th. Families will be notified of their child’s acceptance into the school via email. Families selected will be informed of the next steps in the registration process and what timeline they will need to follow.

NDPA is a state charter school with the number of applicants exceeding the number of openings. We handle this by accepting students via a lottery system. When a student is selected from the lottery pool, his or her siblings are given preference to other applicants; they are placed on a special sibling waiting list until openings are available.

If you applied for the 2023-2024 school year and your child has not been selected, you will need to re-apply for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications are not rolled over to the next school year. Preferences for employees, board members, or siblings of current students will be in accordance with our charter application and state and federal laws. Every effort will be made to accept all siblings within an individual family, but this may not be possible due to capacity on class sizes.

Current NDPA students will need to indicate their intent to return by registering for the 2024-2025 school year and complete an Annual Policies Acknowledgment. This information will be sent to parents after we return from Thanksgiving Break.

The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) enforces four federal statutes that prohibit discrimination in programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance from the Department of Education (ED). NDPA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, or age. This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer, read our USDA Non-Discrimination Statement for more information.
