Rita grew up in Naples, Italy where she met her husband and followed him to the U.S.
Before settling in Utah (which is now her home), she lived in Oregon, California and Alaska.
She has worked for the Ogden School district and is currently working at the State Office of Education as an Educator Specialist.
She graduated from Weber State University with a Spanish Teaching degree and an ESL Minor. Currently she is enrolled in the Masters of Education and Leadership Program at SUU, which will be completed by the end of April 2013.
Rita is very thankful for her three children and two grandchildren who leave close by in the Ogden area. Spending time with her husband, family and friends is very important to her.
Reading, traveling, walking, snorkeling, and boating are some of her favorite hobbies.
She is excited about the opportunity to serve on the NDPA board and is looking forward to utilize her skills and experience for the benefit of students and parents under her care.
